Giveaway! Original Painting from Blue and Beyond

My entrepreneurial 15 year old daughter has opened up an Etsy shop, Blue and Beyond, to sell her paintings!

To celebrate she is offering one of her paintings to you my lucky readers!

One lucky winner will win this 6 X 6 X 1 1/4" painting.

This painting would be perfect as part of a gallery wall or just hung on it's own!

She uses high quality Stevenston Acrylic paints, made in Canada. The painting is signed and dated on the back.

How to enter:

1. Hop on over to Blue and Beyond to see her other paintings and leave a comment telling which one is a favourite.

2. Tweet and/or link to your Facebook about this giveaway {make sure to cc: @hodgepodgeblog}

2. Add her shop to your Etsy favourites or circle.

3. Write a post or add a link to your sidebar.

Make sure you leave a comment for each entry!

Open to US and Canadian residents.

I will choose a winner via Random.org on Monday, August 15!

Good luck!

{lucky me: an esty giveaway win}

I love etsy and was thrilled when I won a shopping credit with the etsy seller, burlap+blue

This win goes wa-a-a-a-y back to May of last year when I won a giveaway at A Soft Place to Land. Linda, the creator behind burlap+blue the etsy shop, also writes a blog under the same name of Burlap and Blue, has a wonderful selection of cake stands made from vintage plates and candle holders. She also makes gorgeous coasters.

When I contacted her she made a beautiful cake stand just for me! I also chose the Paris subway map coasters. Paris is one of my absolute favourite cities, I couldn't resist.

I love red and this stand is just up my alley!

 The cake stand has been used many times, at my daughter's 16th birthday it was placed on top of another stand to create a tier to hold cupcakes.

In the summer we had mint lemonade and used the coasters.

They are now in my family room where I use them daily {and they get complements every time we have company}

 Now the stand sits atop of my bedroom dresser holding my favorite pieces of jewelry.

{See the pretty black onyx earrings? They are another giveaway win from a local etsy seller - who is as sweet in person as her jewelry - Mo'Funk Designs}

So pretty, I love it!

What have you bought from an etsy seller and love?

~Thanks~

Just wanted to say thanks to Jennifer Ramos of MadeByGirl  for the shout-out.

Not sure if her thanking me for a posting I wrote about my favourite print of hers is considered a shout-out but thanks anyways. I was thrilled to see my simple-not-too-fancy header among other more popular blogs last Friday! I felt like a little fish in the big sea. I was so nervous about what people would think about my blog when they popped by.

 I wrote her a thank-you in her comments and had 2 spelling mistakes - so in awe that I messed up - sheesh!

My favourite print by Jennifer is this one:

And since it never came for Mother's Day (er...family doesn't get etsy) I went out and ordered one for myself. It should arrive soon! Can't wait to hang it up!

Thanks Jennifer!

A side note: I FINALLY won a giveaway from another wonderful etsy shop and can't wait to show you what I picked!

Love this!~

I am back, tanned and tired. I am feeling overwhelmed by all that needs to be done around the house, so many errands to be done. My husband held down the fort as best as he could, but what I want to know is didn't anyone water the houseplants? Apparently my son did but the dirt was bone dry - hmmmm...

Here is a post I wrote before I left but only had sporadic wi-fi access (love Starbucks just for that!) so I wasn't able to post anything.

One of my favourite reads is a blog authored by one talented gal, Jennifer Ramos, Made By Girl. I love her decorating style and would love to emulate her look in my home. I am attracted to the effortlessness she has going on. I love homes that don't reflect one style in particular but where people surround themselves with things that they just love, their homes then reflect their personality and don't become staged and showy.  Her home is inspiring and as well as her blog.  Not only does she have a successful blog she has a successful Esty shop where she sells her one-of-a-kind prints. I fell in  love with this one:

I couldn't of said it better than this. I think it would look fab hanging in my home office.

My children are always telling me "Mom, I think you are addicted to coffee." I think they might be right.

Hmmm.. mother's day is coming.
